Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif Congratulates New Leader of Iran's Islamic Revolution

Pakistan's Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei on his selection as the third Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, describing his ascension as a "rare and unprecedented opportunity" for the Muslim world.

Hawzah News Agency- In an official message addressed to the new Leader, the Pakistani prime minister began by reiterating the deepest condolences and sincere prayers of the Pakistani nation on the martyrdom of the late Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

"This is undoubtedly a moment of sorrow and difficulty for the brotherly people of Iran and also for the Islamic Ummah," PM Sharif stated. He emphasized that at this critical juncture, the elevation of Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei to the leadership of the Islamic Republic provides a unique and significant opportunity for the region and beyond.

PM Sharif expressed his sincere felicitations to the new Leader on assuming this weighty responsibility and prayed for divine guidance.

"While conveying my warmest congratulations to Your Eminence on assuming this grave responsibility, I pray to the Almighty Allah that you guide your nation towards peace, stability, honor, and prosperity in the days ahead," the message read.

The Pakistani premier underscored the deep-rooted fraternal ties between the two neighboring nations, stating that relations between the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran are founded upon a shared faith, language, culture, and history.

"We will continue to work closely to further strengthen relations in all areas of mutual interest, in line with the interests of both nations," he affirmed, signaling a commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation across various sectors.

In concluding his message, PM Shehbaz Sharif wished the new Leader good health, happiness, and prosperity. "I pray to the Almighty Allah to protect and bless you and the brotherly people of the Islamic Republic of Iran," he added.

The congratulatory message from Pakistan follows similar expressions of support from leaders and resistance groups across the region, including Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, as well as religious figures from the subcontinent. They have all reaffirmed their commitment to the Axis of Resistance and their confidence in the new Leader's guidance during this transformative period following the tragic US-Israeli terrorist attack that martyred the late Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
